Setting up the Mail Scheduler

timegate can be configured to automatically email employees their assignments.

To configure this facility you must first configure the timegate Update Scheduler to process employee updates. You can then specify when updates should be emailed to employees.

timegate can also be configured to periodically check for incoming timesheet and expense data which it gathers and consolidates intocentraltime™

 

To set up the Mail Scheduler:

  1. From the Tools Menu, choose Options... then go to the Mail tab.



  2. Within the Mail tab, you must first activate the email link by selecting the Yes option.
  3. Specify the email address of the timegate machine.
  4. For the Send Updates option, configure the frequency at which assignments are to be emailed to users.
  5. For the Check for timesheets option, set the frequency at which timegate updates centraltime™ with authorised and completed timesheets.

Once enabled, timegate will automatically email users their assignments and gather their completed time and expenses for consolidation into centraltime™.

Note

 

timegate users a uses a 24-hour clock. So if you set the Mail Scheduler to 17:30, timegate will email any updates at 5:30 p.m.
