Installation Overview

WallCHART® is designed to be installed on each workstation or Client machine where users need access to the company's WallCHART® database.

Each Client application connects to a Database which is housed on a Server running your chosen database System - SQL Server, MSDE, Oracle or MS-Access.

The WallCHART® installation includes all of the database setup scripts and will automatically create your database and step you through the registration and Administrator password setup processes.

To implement a new WallCHART® system:

  1. On you Database server, create a blank database within your chosen platform (e.g. SQL Server).
  2. From the first client machine, create an ODBC connection to the database using the appropriate driver.
  3. Again, from the first client machine, run the WallCHART® installation software.
  4. Launch the application and use the ODBC connection created in step 2. to connect to the database and create the tables, register the database and specify the Administrator password for your system.
  5. Login to your WallCHART® database.
  6. Begin the process of configuring WallCHART®.
